12z EURO

has a 1052mb monster centered over the southern plains next weekend. Go to Stormfury's site and click on MSLP day 7.

That is one cold high for those of us in the southern Plains.

I know it's only one model run but if this thing verifies ... yikes!!

Guys... this is going to be THE COLDEST AIR OF THE SEASON. This is going to be the first TRUE SIBERIAN AIR mass in years.... this will mean very cold weather for the Plains East (That includes the East coast for the OFA guys :lol: ). Look for high temps to be in the lower 30's max. Maybe even upper 10's if setup is right. Plains will bear the brunt however, and highs will be WELL below zero.

What kind of temperatures can we expect on the upper Texas coast? When is this cold air supposed to arrive here? Snow???

No high temps of only teens, but XMas of 89, we had a high of 30, that was bascially @ midnight. Daytime temp only made it to about ~17F that day.

weather.com moderates high temperatures slightly. 31 to 33, but drops 40 to 37 on the 18th. It also dropped the low temperatures slightly.
