With 9 years of extreme to exceptional drought, I thought I would NEVER say this but......it's time for a break from the wet weather, now had these past systems been all snow it would have been a different story however, rain on top of 36" of wet snow, well, you get the idea, heck, even this met at the NWS if Flag is saying the same thing, take note of the last sentence in this mornings NAFD:

EXPECT ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE-HALF TO ONE INCH TO FALL OVER THE LOWER ELEVATIONS TODAY AND THIS EVENING. AUTOMATED STREAM GAUGES CONTINUE TO SHOW SLOW RISES ON MANY STREAMS AND RIVERS. THE ADDITIONAL RAINFALL TODAY WILL LIKELY BE ENOUGH TO RESULT IN FLOODING IN A FEW LOCATIONS. THUS...THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH TONIGHT. IN ADVANCE OF THE STRONG S/W TROUGH AND THE SFC COLD FRONT...SFC PRESSURE GRADIENTS WILL STRENGTHEN TODAY AND IT WILL BECOME BREEZY TO WINDY ACROSS THE REGION. WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN JUST BELOW ADVISORY THRESHOLDS. STRONG TROUGH RAPIDLY CROSSES THE AREA TONIGHT AND TOMORROW. SHOWERS WILL QUICKLY COME TO AN END FROM WEST TO EAST DURING THE DAY WEDNESDAY USHERING IN A MUCH NEEDED DRY PERIOD. DRY WEATHER SHOULD CONTINUE INTO THE WEEKEND WITH A SLIGHT CHANCE OF PCPN DEVELOPING LATER IN THE WEEK. DB
Thought I'd NEVER say this BUT........
