We can use rain down here and I noticed some moisture down in the Western Caribbean lifting slowing northward. With the cold front coming down the state and that additional area in the Caribbean can this cause some shot at an actual rain event down here, it would be nice. Please opinions welcome.

I was looking at that little blob down there. I doubt it will make it here, though. When's the last time we had any kind of a rain event in January? Our climatology seems to dictate against it. It always seems like there's something missing from the dynamics. Decent moisture and convergence but no CAPE. Decent moisture but no lift. Good convergence but no moisture.

I know I've heard thunder in January and February before, but it hasn't been often.
