Winter Storm Outlooks?
Will winter storm outlooks probably start going up for the east coast for next weekend sometime this week?

If you live in the Northeast, I would pay close attention to Monday. Looks as if a possible Nor'Easter will impact the region...esp. Boston and the Islands. Latest GFS models bring a developing surface low within the bench mark for substantial snow. Combine that will an arctic high in Eastern Canada, and you have yourself a pretty decent snowstorm. But a small deviation in the track of that surface low will tell the tale. For now, I would guess Boston will see 3-6 inches, NYC 1-4 inches, Cape Cod 6-12 inches. I wouldn't be surprised if Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Watches went up by the morning shift.

I know but i am really concerned about NEXT weekend. I am really getting excited for a big east coast storm. Do you think that philly isnt going to get impacted from that storm anthony? What do the latest GFS models say?AnthonyC wrote:Like I said, Philadelphia should see at least two inches Sunday night/Monday morning.

The GFS model has done a poor job predicting long-range forecasts this entire winter season. So, I only trust the model 72 hours in advance. Sunday night/Monday morning looks interesting for the entire east coast. And temperatures support an all snow event. If I were to trust the long-range GFS forecast, next weekend doesn't look that promising.
