Looking Back On My Marriage

#1 Postby DaylilyDawn » Tue Jan 18, 2005 11:49 pm

Today , Jan. 18, 1975 my husband and I got married at the church I was attending at the time. Since that time I have come close to losing my husband twice in work related accidents, my oldest son almost dying of kidney failure, my youngest almost died in a wreck after hitting black ice on highway in the worst icestorm the southeast ever had, my daughter giving us a grandson, daughter moving back home with grandson after her hubby decided he didn't want to stay married and be a father, losing my father in 1996, saw my youngset sister get married, watched my nephews get married and have kids, and the worst part was Dec 31 2003 when my mother passed away. Lord , if these are the high points in my life I sure don't want to see the low points anytime soon.

Congrats on your anniversary! :) I wish you two many more years together. :D

You stated some good points in your post, like when you became a grandmother and also your youngest sister getting married. Dwelling on the bad all of the time doesn't help things get any better. It only brings you down even more, which is not what you want to do. ;)
