Yes, an estimate based on combined model info that the storm is going to move offshore and explode over the gulf stream giving I-95 folks a HESC.

well, I really hope you are right, because I love those numbers. However, I think that's really, really pushing it, but you never know.

Here are my predictions for a bunch of cities....

charlotte, nc: 2-3 inches
greensboro, nc: 8-14 inches
raleigh, nc: 1-3 inches, mix with sleet, rain
roanoke, va: 8-10 inches
blacksburg, va: 5-8 inches
richmond, va: 3-5 inches, rain at first
DC: 5-8 inches
Baltimore: 5-8 inches
Philly: 4-7 inches
Pittsburgh: 2-5 inches
Buffalo: 1 inch (from storm) much more from lake effect
NYC: 5-8 inches
Boston: 6-10 inches

Most of my estimates rely on a UKMET, Euro and GFS information. Thats why my totals for the big cities are rather low- due to a off the coast track.

I will use the gfs, Canadian and Nogaps to make my prediction

Charlotte, nc 1-3 inches
Raleigh, nc 2-3 inches
Richmond, va 2-5 inches
DC, 3-6 inches
Baltimore 4-7 inches
Pittsburg 5-8 inches
Buffalo 1 or 2 inches from lake effect
NYC 6-10 depending on track
Boston 6-12 depending on track
Philly 5-8 depending on track

Yeah I think those totals are a little high, especially for the weatern cities. Be nice if we could see 18" here in Pittsburgh! I just dont see it.

The snow totals will be heavier towards the east, not the west.

Yeah, I think those totals are way too high for just about everyone and I actually see Buffalo getting a few inches anyway. In my opinion, it will be somewhere in between PlanetSnow's totals and Krysof's totals but a lot closer to Krysof's. I think here in Pittsburgh, I see us getting about 6 to 10 total into Tuesday morning. The big cities I think may either get 6 if rain eventually mixes in or a lot more (foot or more) if it tracks more off the coast.
