Ok- I found this graphic that was valid about a week ago. MW might have touched upon this or a similar graphic some time ago. This shows the warm and cold water at various depths.

Look at that huge area of cold water in the west Pacific. Others have talked about it- but when you see it and assume it will move east with time, well, that pretty much helps to calm fears of a sudden and strong El Nino. Even if those fears are only mine!

One can see were the warm water depth and strength is deminishing.I will be glad when Mid-June arrives everything should be out of the closet by then(I hope).
