Hurricane special for South Florida Viewers

#1 Postby flashflood » Tue May 03, 2005 9:27 pm

I got this in the mail. I do not know if the show is on other channels. I usually forget to tune into a lot of shows, including Mike's show, unless I see it here on S2K. So here is a reminder in-case anyone is interested.

A TV special by Bryan Norcross and Hunter Reno, called "Surviving the Storm" will be on WPBT Ch.2 on May 25th at 7:30pm and again the 28th & 29th at 5:30.

The description says "Floridians are facing the prospect of another active season coupled with higher insurance premiums. Four Hurricanes struck Florida in 2004 and left an estimated 1 out of 5 homes damaged or destroyed. Residents were left shaken, financially depleted and in fear of future storms that posed further destruction."

My parents received the renewal for their manufactured home insurance last week and everything is the same as last year except for an increase of $106.00 on hurricane coverage - same deductible and everything else as last year. They had a big claim with them because of lots of damage so I was surprised it didn't go up more then that.

I think it depends of with whom one is insured with. JMO.
