Huge difference between the two considering they are 80 miles apart. The reason? If we are lucky in Houston we will be on the SW side of the system causing it while Beaumont is 80 miles closer to the center of the low that might make this happen.

Could it rain here too? Just a little over 3" of rain here since March 1, giving us an 8.50" rainfall deficit. Had a light shower today and these chances are the highest I've seen for months! Hopefully we are transitioning into a wetter, more summerlike pattern.

rain

Ch. 13 is even a bit more optimistic. I'm going to wash the car and water the yard as well. This should up our chances at least another 10% each day.

As of earlier today it is now becoming questionable if that low that was to track near us is going to be coming this far SW as opposed to a more SE track which would significantly reduce our rain chances.

I didn't save the original map so it's not showing the one they had up yesterday. Both 60% days are gone and have been replaced with a much slighter chance of rain.

It's getting pretty old now, isn't it? At least give us some decent seabreeze action!

It's a world of difference an hour South of you. :) I think Galveston is usually 5-7 degrees cooler than Houston during the summer, right?

That would be correct Duckie. I don't mind the heat but I sure am missing the rain.

Keep in mind SE Texans, yall had that big complex of storms move through 2 weeks ago or so. We didn't get ANYTHING from that. Hardly a drop of rain this may and no good news in store :( . This is the 3rd driest spring on record in Lafayette.

LOL - now our 60% chance for a couple of days in a row down to 20% and 30% down to 20% and 20% is now doing to 0%! Image

Unless it is climatolgocially favored (such as in Florida USUALLY, the Gulf Coast USUALLY, or the rockies), I notice most NWS offices fail to mention anything 20% or under in the public forecasts more than 72 hours out. I HATE when that happens in my neck of the woods.

Hey, lookie there! Now I wonder how long till they take the rain chances down this time. lol

We need the rain, but Memorial Weekend? I hope it doesn't rain Sunday though...will definitely put a damper on my plans.
