I finally just saw "Phantom Menace" this past weekend. I still need to see "Attack Of The Clones" before I catch "Revenge of the Sith" so it will all make sense to me.
I really had no desire to see the first two until recently when I heard that the last one (the one that leads up to the original Star Wars) was coming out. But when I saw the Tie Fighters and X-Wing Fighters that I was so familiar with from Star Wars on the trailers for this one, I knew it was time.

Yoda...your review doesn't count. You can't be a star in the movie PLUS be unbiased in your reporting!!!
Hope everyone has fun seeing it.
Do you know...scary thought...I remember what theater I went to for all of the other five? Worse yet...I can remember the names of a couple of people (not droids) who were standing in line with us.
OMG...certain people I've come across in life remind me of Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia. Scarier still, certain people I've come across in life also remind me of Jar Jar Binks or Jabba the Hut... I've even known a few wookies!
I will go see it...probably in a few short weeks after all the aliens clear out of the theaters and leave us with even scarier beings sitting next to us....kids under 3!

See, once we think alike Shawn. This is how I felt when PM came out. I loved the first 3 so much I wasn't as excited to see it. Now I keep reading wonderful reviews of this final chapter and if you liked the first 3, you MUST see all 6. Especially this final movie, which of course sets off Star Wars....aka A New Hope (will I ever get used to calling it that, NO!).
Over the summer, I will watch all 3 and get really caught up. Then probably want to watch the first 3 again. It could be a SW summer.

PS - a local, very popular touristy place in Northern Kentucky, called Newport on the Levee, offers a 20 screen theater. In honor of the SW, 19 screens will be showing this final installment. 19 screens - all devoted to SW! That's impressive.

Many theaters knew that their midnight showings were going to be sold out so they added extra morning showings with their regular afternoon fare. The Theater we went to had second shows at 9:10/9:40/11:10/11:40 all AM plus the usual afternoon/evening shows. ROTS took in 50 mil yesterday for the greatest one day take ever. Estimates are that it will take in 160 mil for the 4 days (US Box Office). Will probably go see it again after the crowds thin out. There were already people in line yesterday morning who were coming in for the second time.

LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- The final chapter of the "Star Wars" movie saga grossed a record $50 million from its first 24 hours in North American theaters, the highest box office tally for a single day, according to studio estimates issued Friday.
"Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith," the last installment in the six-part epic George Lucas launched nearly 30 years ago, surpassed the previous opening-day box office record set by "Spider-Man 2" -- $40.4 million -- and the $44.8 million single-day benchmark "Shrek 2" grossed in its fourth day of release, according to Exhibitor Relations Inc.
The unprecedented first-day success of "Revenge of the Sith," which opened at 12:01 a.m. Thursday in sold-out theaters packed with costumed fans, sets the film firmly on course to becoming one of the biggest blockbusters of all time.
"We've never seen this before," said Paul Dergarabedian, president of box office tracking service Exhibitor Relations. "This is an unprecedented achievement."
At the very least, "Sith" appeared on track to eclipse the $110 million grossed by its immediate predecessor, "Attack of the Clones," through its first weekend three years ago.
"Clones," which also opened on a Thursday, grossed $30.1 million its first day.
Distributor 20th Century Fox, a unit of News Corp. Ltd. , debuted "Revenge of the Sith" on about 9,400 screens in nearly 3,700 theaters in the United States and Canada. The movie also opened internationally.
I will go next week on thursday.Wow over $50 millon already. This one will break records.

Just got home from seeing it. I have to agree with one reviewer who said "this is the Star Wars movie that fans have been wanting to see since the Phantom Menace came out."
I gotta tell you though, I certainly did not see that ending coming. Anakin turns to the dark side and becomes Darth Vader?? Padme has twins?? I certainly hope that someday there's an Episode 4 to clear up some of these cliffhangers. . .
oh wait. . .nevermind
