couldnt respond to the first post...here are some very good nuts and bolts beginning tropical met bookl: "atlantic hurricanes".. dunn and miller, "hurricanes and their impact"...simpson and reihl, "hurricanes and their history"..tannehill. these are all relatively dated but are solid references....good place to start...good overview.......good reading, rich
