In the Tropics
(Apologies to Elvis)
Under the Bermuda high
On a warm and sunny carribean mornin’
A poor little baby depression is born
In the tropics
And storm2k-ers cry
'Cause if there’s one thing that they don’t need
It’s another storm frenzied feed
In the tropics
People, don’t you understand
The depression needs a helping hand
Or it'll wonder around day to day
Take a look at you and me,
Are we too blind to see,
Do we simply turn our heads
And look the other way
Well the world turns
And a depression turn into a Tropical Storm
Strengthens up as the seas churn
And the warm winds blow
In the tropics
And his pressure drops
So he starts to strenghten day and night
And he learns how to blow hard
And he gets a recon flight
In the tropics
Then one night
The Hurricane breaks away
He makes landfall as a category three
He blows down houses and uproots trees
And storm2k-ers sigh
As the satellite shows
The Hurricane dissapating over the Appalachains
after firing up the storm2k nation
In the tropics
As the hurricane dies,
On a warm and sunny Carribean mornin’,
Another little depression is born
In the tropics
In the Tropics
