Yes very atractive convection that may open eyebrows to some but the story about why of that activity is below.
Big trough in the Eastern Caribbean extending into the Atlantic.The west side of the trough is very dry but the east side is moist and divergent flow east of the trough is causing the convection to flare up.The trough is forecast to move slowly west in the next few days but in the meantime unfavorable conditions for tropical development will be the rule in the Eastern Caribbean and east of the Windwards to around 45w.And to complement the unfavorable status there are still pockets of dust in the Atlantic.
