Rainy on the West Coast too

#1 Postby TreasureIslandFLGal » Fri Jun 10, 2005 7:15 am

We've had rain since yesterday afternoon, mostly just light stuff. This morning though the wind is starting to kick in. Sustained at St. Petersburg at 21 mph already. On the beach where I live, even higher I'm sure (usually is).
Sky doesn't look ominous yet, but radar is starting to show the outer edge of a band not too far away. I'm sure later today we'll start getting our infamous downpours.
My inlaws are visiting from Denver, CO and he is a retired Air Force meteorologist. He is sooooo excited to be "experiencing" a tropical system. I had to laugh, since this won't be anything like last year's storm train! -and even last year's were all "near misses" for us in Tampa Bay!
