i saw that also, if that is the center of circulation getting its act together under the convection then this thing has got to recalibrated further east, doesn't it??

Yes but if you look closely you can see a ring of convection coming from the southwest and then spinning back and then heading South in that small area about 3/10 of a degree wide. Im fairly confident that it is atleast a vorticy though Im not a met. And the other vorticy out west could be the dominating one but then again that one doesnt have thunderstorms wrapping around it...Its just out in the open.
