#1 Postby wxvine » Sat Jun 11, 2005 10:34 am

Here is some of the first surge video just shot 30 mins ago along the coastal road between Gulf Port and Pensalcola Bch.

Winds are starting to increase more and more now. Kinda crazy as she is one dry and very little precip falling. Winds and surge increasing ever hr and Im told high tide is early this afternoon.

Watch some video clips shot just a 30 mins ago.

Is that the road to Fort Pickens? Or the other end, towards Navarre?

They just showed on the local news some "knukleheads" (as the news anchor called them) standing on the end of Pensacola Beach Pier. They're standing on the break away boards and the waves are breaking just under and above those boards. Crazy!

It looks like the road to Navarre to me, but I'm probably wrong. Thanks for the video though! Be sure to be standing out there when she comes ashore! Just joking

You would think that the contractors that left that heavy equipment out there would have had the business sense to move it back.
Salt water intrusion into an engine is not cheap to resolve.
