If TD 3 makes it to TS strength....

If Tropical Depression Three becomes Tropical Storm Cindy, then it will be the first time since 1957 (48 years ago) that the first three systems were Tropical Storms in the Gulf of Mexico/ Bay of Campeche.

1959 was close, with TS Arlene, TS Beulah, and TD 3 becoming a hurricane in the open Atlantic.
1970 came close, with TD Alma, TS Becky, and H. Celia.
2001 came close, with TS Allison, TS Barry, and a possible TS Chantal if it would have entered the Gulf.
1957 ended with 8 storms, 3 hurricanes, and 2 major hurricanes.
