Your call for Primary Landfall?

#1 Postby Steve » Tue Jul 05, 2005 7:15 pm

Is it Lafourche, Jefferson or Plaquemines Parish, LA?

Lafouche down at the Gulf is Fourchon/Golden Meadow
Jefferson is Grand Isle
Plaquemines is everything east of there on the toe of LA (Boothville/Venice)

Cindy is coming ashore in the next couple of hours in extreme SE Lafourche Parish just to the West of the Jefferson Parish line, IMO. Just got word of an oil rig offshore with wind gusts reported at 99mph. I think this system may have become a Category 1 as it reaches the shore...

I'm going with Lafourche/Jefferson line (Port Fourchon/Grand Isle) with a secondary maybe in eastern Hancock or western Harrison Co., MS.

2 for 1 plan.
