Weakening?
Does anyone believe that the SE LA area will act to weaken Cindy or will she maintain strength as she landfalls in MS? IIRC, the area is flat much like the everglades?

I don't think it'll weaken much if or while it stays over the marshes. Didn't affect Danny much.

It's flat with ridges. The toe of La. is mostly marsh true but there are four levees one to keep out the GOM and one to keep the Mighty Missip in it's banks, and there's the same thing on the other side of the river, there are trees, citrus grooves and the levees run from Venice( near the tip) all the way up to and around N.O. and surrounding communities and most are over 15 feet high.
I'm saying this because I think some people believe the whole area south of N.O. is flat marsh land with no trees or anything to stop a storm surge, That a storm such as Cindy would flood the whole region.
