the media has backed off from giving a definite hit area and have changed their reports to "landfall along the Gulf Coast". Seems they are keeping their options open as well. I get the feeling that they are waiting to see where Dennis comes across Cuba and what he does after entering the Gulf. The visual from the NHC on the news this morning alluded to movement more away from the Florida West Coast and the cone is widened to again include Louisiana eastward.
Personally, I thought Dennis would at least be on shore this morning in Cuba from the discussions last night. It still is reported to be quite a way off the cost still this morning. Did I misread last night??

I'm not exactly sure how "off track it is".
Here was the prediction at 11pm last night for 8am this morning:
12HR VT 08/1200Z 21.2N 79.2W 120 KT
Actual: 20.9 N 79.5 W
So... not onshore, but it's farther west and not as far north as it should be.
Puts it farther west into Cuba...
