Advise for protecting your property (Ivan lesson)

This worked during Ivan. Cover as much of your electronics and funiture (beds) as you can with plastic sheathing. This way, if you have roof damage and water comes in you can at least keep these items dry.

and, if I might add, those large size ziplock bags are worth their weight in gold.
Zip(lock)..as in "found out the hard way...

This is good advice....I'm hoping those who might need it (ie, in the direct path of Dennis) will have already done as you suggested.

Sorry you learned the hard way. But glad you shared what you learned so others wouldn't have to learn the same lesson.
