Where are ITCZ Westerlies??

Shouldn't we be having fairly strong trade winds or "Westerlies" in July? Isn't this part of the reason that African Waves find hostile conditions in the mid-Atlantic during July and well into August?

Where are those westerly winds??

Don't know....i heard someone say that perhaps they may kick in this week somewhat and prevent further devolopment of these Systems
also remember this is NOT your "Normal" year, so ANYTHING is possible!
