Tropical Weather Outlook

Statement as of 5:30 PM EDT on July 14, 2005

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico...
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane
Emily...located about 445 miles southeast of Santo Domingo in the
Dominican Republic.

Thunderstorm activity has become a little better organized today in
association with the tropical wave located about 1275 miles west of
the Lesser Antilles. Upper-level winds are only marginally
favorable for tropical cyclone development...but some additional
slow development of this system is possible during the next day or
two as it moves over warmer waters.

Elsewhere...tropical storm formation is not expected through
Friday.

As a human being, errors are always present. Even if 99L is located west of the Lesser Antilles. :)
