Fujiwara Potential?
It suddenly dawned on me that if the Bahamas cyclone and the SW Caribbean disturbance form strongly enough they are close enough together to act under Fujiwara influence.
This would bring the Bahamas storm westward into Florida and track the Caribbean disturbance west and into land...

Actually I do recall the big debate on the matter, although heck if I can recall the storms. First time I had ever heard of it actually so I read the whole thing on it. But, apparently it is a VERY debatable subject.

I think there was a situation in 1995 when Humberto, Iris, and Karen were all out in the Atlantic. If I remember correctly, Karen ( the weaker system ) eventually was absorbed by Iris.
Please correct me if I am wrong. Just seems like I remember the locat mets mentioning something to that effect.
