? Ongoing Sea Surface Temps under Franklin...

#1 Postby curtinnc » Thu Jul 21, 2005 7:20 pm

Ok guys, hope this is a decent question to pose... But with a storm moving around in predicted circles for days over roughly the same area, what will this do to him?

How does the predicted rain and upwelling play on a storm like this that is covering the same area for days?

I'm guessing that this has to function as a part in the intensity forecasts... But how? Is there model data that takes this into account, or is the kind of thing that is subjective in the reasoning of forecasting a storm such as this?

Thanks a bunch! :thermo: :notworthy:

As a comparison, it didn't seem to affect Jeanne much...she strengthened....and became much, much, much larger.
