Any? Will they get back together?

Can the MLC generate its own LLC and become seperate altogether from Franklin?

I have been hoping for that scenario to pan out in order for it to intercept some of the SAL before it gets here.

I need to LLC to become completely detached and get carried off with this trough. If it does not, then I am afraid that the MLC will eventually catch up with the LLC again, and then be too far north and east to have much affect.

This system has lived off its MLC for days before it became named, so I don't see why it could not do it again. At this point the MLC appears to be too far north to affect the US down the road, so the second trough should carry it away. It will be interesting to see how this turns out.

Sheared MLCs rarely survive decoupling; usually the convection fades away in a day.
