Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSP)
St. Paul Downtown Airport (STP)

5 lines are the highways out of the Twin Cities area? Or major flight paths?
Double circles= Minneapolis & St. Paul
70... year you were born? Got married? Got pilot licence?

Can you tell that I'm guessin?

"Msp, StP" does stand for Minneapolis (& St. Paul) -- but nobody is remotely close as far as the shape and meaning of the avatar itself.

So.....keep hunting, Mensa-candidates!

(Aw, I'm such a softy; OK, weebles -- a hint: It has nothing whatsoever to do with meteorology or aviation, and isn't a professional or military emblem.)

It's a mask you wear around your face when using one of those torches or something.

Could it be a weird pair of binoculars? I also say the 70 is the year you were born (1970).

Best that I can tell from my limited research so far, it looks to be a game piece depicting railroads that come out of Minneapolis-St. Paul in the board game "1870."

Don't mess with my research skills. Chocolate chip, please. :-)
