The operation to attempt the skin grafts was today. I haven't heard whether or not it was successful. I really hope he can keep all his fingers.... just please, send him your best.....anything would be appreciated....

Could I have a few prayers sent my way...
....or really, in the direction of my father in Wisconsin. He works in a factory, and got his hand caught in a machine somehow. The doctor said that the damage might be able to be fixed with extensive skin grafts, but if that doesnt work, two of his fingers will have to be amputated.

Hey....I wanted to thank you guys for all your prayers and concern.....and Im sure the rest of my family appreciates it as well. 
The surgery went very well....the skin grafts appear to have worked, but we won't know for sure until about two weeks from now, when his stitches come out. He is never gonna have full feeling or use of the two fingers that were crushed, but at least it doesn't look like amputation is going to be a necessity....
As a side note, does anyone here know much about workmans comp? Are you usually paid your usual amount, or is it a partial payment like unemployment? I'm not sure my dad knows at this point.... he knows he is on it, but he has been in the hospital and hasn't had time to ask many questions....should he hire a lawyer?? Anything that y'all know or have experienced would help. Thanks again....and I will keep everyone posted when we know more...
