Record rain, record FLOODING!!

"Be careful of what you wish for!"

So true!!

As Geo man said in another thread, we had 3 cells CONVERGE right on TOP of us late yesterday afternoon bringing record rainfall rates and record FLOODING!! We got called out around 1800 hrs to aid in road blocks around town.......areas that have NEVER flooded, were under 12-19" of water, homes that are new, FLOODED. We witnessed a 13' wall of water come down Billy Creek, LUCKILY, there are NO HOMES along this creek, it feeds into Show Low Lake and I KNOW the water is going over the spillway as I post this!!

Some reporting stations around town reported 4.58" of rain in a 1.25 hr. time frame  I received 2.79" in 1.5 hours. Don't have the offical rainfall total just yet, from where the offical station is, it HAS to be over 3.00" at LEAST!!

Remember that movie "When Storms Collide?" WELL.......I witnessed it FIRST HAND!!

Guess you'll think twice about complaining about no rain! Hope everything is ok.
