Advisorie #1 for TD#2 from weathercentral of storm2k

#1 Postby cycloneye » Tue Jun 10, 2003 9:41 pm

This forecast is from the weathercentral of storm2k and it is NOT from NHC.

Advisorie #1 Tropical Depression #2 11:00 PM EDT

Sattelite pics showed from this afternoon that the disturbance located midway between africa and the lesser antilles has organized and it is now TD#2.Deep convection and banding features are noted with the system as it moves west at 16 mph.It is difficult to say what will happen with this system because it is very early in june and never this has happened before.But I have an idea of what might happen and I will say that it will be moving into a hostil enviroment in the next 2 days but if it stays on a west course it may avoid the very hostil zone.Interests in the lesser antilles must monitor this depression as conditions favor intensification to a tropical storm.

Forecast for TD#2

Initial=9.6= 41.6 30kts
12 hours =9.8-44.1 30kts
24 hours =10.5-47.0 35 kts
36 hours=11.5-49.5 35 kts
48 hours= 12.5-52.0 30kts
72 hours=14.5-56.5 30kts

The statistical models aren't as down on the system as you may think...and there is some chance that the system will stay to the south of the forecast track from NHC. Although a hurricane is pretty much out of the question....there could be a Bill or a former Bill hanging around your vicinity in 5 days.

FYI here is a link to my first forecast for the system...I'd post here but it's too big and the formatting would get all screwed up. Enjoy...
