Typhoon Tip

This storm absoulty amazed me. This storm out did every other storm on earth. I think it had 190mph winds with 220mph gusts. I don't know that much about this storm but if anyone else has some info that would be greatly appreciated. :D

TS force winds extended something like 600 miles from the center. That was a menace to the world.

The pressure within Tip dropped to an estimated 870hPa. :eek:

Go to the JTWC site at http://metoc.npmoc.navy.mil/jtwc.html and go to the ATCR archive and call up the Annual Tropical Cyclone Report for 1979 and read the narrative on STY Tip.
