I had some problems last Friday, and had to be rushed to the ER after I could not get a catheter into my bladder. I've had a foley in for the last couple days. And today I had an appointment with my urologist. He has scheduled me for a cystoscopy on Friday afternoon. Luckily, this is a minor procedure and I should be out in a few hours after it starts. HOWEVER...there is a potential that I may require big time surgery to repair what's called a mitrofanoff, which is the tube that carries my urine. It may have been destroyed over the weekend. IF I need this, it won't happen til December, but I am so upset about it right now...my Monday just didn't go as well as I wanted it to.
December surgery update...going back under one more time...

As I know you are somewhat aware, I have a lot of health issues that I've been dealing with recently. Well another one has come up.

Jeremy - I am so sorry to hear you need more surgery. I am praying this very minute it will be a minor procedure and not major surgery. Please keep us posted. I'm sure you've had a very rough Monday. And NKU started school today, correct? You do not need this, not at all.
Let us know how you're doing. Hugs going out to you....

Yes we started yesterday. I am doing 2 classes 5x/week. Luckily, this surgery won't affect that much, as it's after my school day ends Friday.

Surgery will be mid-late Feb.. Not sure what exact date. They are gonna create a new passage and then attach a bag. It will make life simpler for me. Unfortunately...with this being in February, school will be on hold for me until summer '06, because of the 6 week recovery period, 2-4 of which may well be in the hospital. I'll keep in touch somehow.
