#1 Postby Astro_man92 » Thu Aug 25, 2005 4:28 pm

I think 4 or 5

10) Total Devistation

9) The stronger houses are intact, the medium strength houses have sustained some damage, The weaker houses have sustained major damage, the trailers are gone:eek: or are just in peices, debrie every where

8) The stonger houses are practicaly untouched just a few shingles missing, The medium strength houses are intact, The weaker houses have sustained either some damage or little damage, The trailers have either been blown over or have sustained major damage, Debrie sploched around the more damaged houses

7)The medium strength houses are practicaly untouched just a few shingles missing, the weaker houses have sustained little damage, the trailers are still majorly damaged, Debrie sploched around the more damaged houses

6)The weaker houses are practicaly untouched just a few shingles missing, the trailers have sustained much damage, more debrie around the trailers

5) The trailers have sustained some damage, debrie still is every where

4) The trailers have sustained little damage, not to much debrie

3) The trailers have rocked a little, not much debrie

2) All houses have sustained no damage just a few loose items missing, notmuch debrie

1) little to no debrie

0) no damage

I think wind damage will be minimal but the big threat may be flooding. JMHO.

The damage is really bad, especially near the beach. I just got back from touring Biloxi and the casinos, except for the Imperial, are either in pieces on the highway or completely gutted. Housed just about do not exsist anymore in most places, and most of the bridges are gone. I also toured Ocean Springs the past two Sundays and the damage is pretty bad. I took a lot of pictures from Ocean Springs and will take some of Biloxi next week. Hopefully I can get them posted. Most of these pictures haven't been shown anywhere except on the news. Most people say that all the damage is just surge, well, that ain't too true. There are plenty places that I know of that sustained heavy wind damage. I don't have pictures of those yet. I will try to get some.

You're right about that. Waveland and Bay St. Louis. Most of them are gone.

when a town doesn't exist anymore it doesn't get anymore Catastrophic than that but i'm sure waveland will be rebuilt better than ever before only to get destroyed again by the next 30 ft surge.folks thought Camille was the end of the yardstick well it wasn't

Poll should be locked. IIRC when this thread was resurrected there wasn't 17 votes for 10. It skews the data. The truth is that when this poll was August 25 nobody thought it would be the costliest hurricane in American history (and the deadliest since 1928).

When you create a poll, you need to put how many days you want the poll to run in order to avoid this, otherwise it will be a never-ending poll and people can vote a year from now. Most people seem to leave the 0 there though.

It won't do any good to lock the poll now. It's already messed up. f5 posted that were no votes for 8, 9, or 10 so that will have to be good enough.
