This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

annular hurricane.......will it affect track?

if the hurricane can support itself entirely and without the outer bands and so on, does that mean it has more freedom to diverge from the projected path? or does that only solidify the current path?

While I don't think it can take control of it's environment
completely, I do think it could possibly maintain it's present
direction slightly longer than if isn't annular. Would anyone
like to take a stab at this?

I just saw on CNN at 3:54 Central Time on the back drop picture that the eye had 5 compartments in it. Is this meso center that everyone talks about or just an old picture?
