Horrible news if it is confirmed about New Orleans many deaths.I pray for all in New Orleans and to all affected in the other states.

is this a new report (as of 10EDT), and to think he is just limiting that to loss of life in NO. I still have not heard of any reports from waveland/st. louis baypass christian areas

It was posted at 9:24am EDT this morning...

I did hear Bay St. Louis is pretty much gone from storm surge, but that's it. Presumably anyone who stayed probably didn't survive...

Maybe "significant" just means... y'know... 20 or something... because that's a lot for a hurricane...

There was something on the news earlier with a list of these smaller areas. Was said that because of the damage, there has been no way to get in to check on these places, therefore no info on them. I know this is hard to deal with but Patience. Right now showing major search efforts.

It's just awful.... :cry:

Anyone who thought NO dodged a bullet. Watch the footage that they're getting now from the air. 80% of that city is under water according to the Mayor. And MS....man, what a nightmare.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the affected regions....

I'm thinking of the 10,000 in the Superdome.It is now surrounded by water. They no doubt are in misery :(
