Good morning Derek. Any forecasts on the amouont of rain we can expect? We got a lot of rain here early Saturday morning and its been raining off and on all weekend. The ground is pretty saturated already and I'm concerned with some possible localized flooding. Thanks, and keep up the excellent work. I appreciate it very much.

If it sits and spins upwelling could be a inhibiter. But will it? The Gulf Stream is pumping warm water into it.

Would need to be much stronger for upwelling especially, as you pointed out with the GS pumping in warmth.

The intensity analysis chart is for Nate not Ophelia.

The NHC seems convinced that Ophelia will head westward in 2 or 3 days - we'll see what happens.
