Gom making me nervous..

It looks like a swirl yes? cant get any info on it much from weather channel. Is this going to turn into anything?

Nothing to worry about (fow now)...several threads on this already...it is an ULL and will move onshore before anything develops.

However, keep an eye on the Channel area as this moves more NW into the southern GOM, and also watch TD16 in case it ends up in the GOM.

What is an ULL'

ALso keep an eye on the channel area? TD16 does not seem to be coming anywhere near west coast of florida Im south west coast.

There is a wave moving into the southern GOM near the Yucatan, may be a GOM threat down the road, but not for Florida (sorry, I didn't notice your location).

I would definitely watch TD16 as it may indeed move into the GOM (see other thread on that) but not likely SW coast.

Even if something did come from this ULL it would not impact FL. It's another S. TX/Mexico threat if anything.

The wave over the Yucatan isn't a FL threat either.

Dixie, look east, not west right now :wink:

I sure hope it isn't a true threat for Texas! I have to say those waters are hot but if I was an evacuee in Houston I would completely freak out.
