Calm at the moment. We have had periods of heavy rain and gusty winds at about 15-20 mph. Our current temp is 73 F. It feels like the calm before the storm

It's sunny, low 80's with a slight breeze, smells of a distant rain blow through the air, no kids, no hubby, cold drink in hand and then I wake up. DARN...sounded good to me.

It's just breezy here and all I smell is that poopy cloth diaper still lying on the steps outside the patio that hubby said he would spray out earlier this evening.

Everyone stay safe and I'm thinking of ya and the above first few lines.

I'm about 33.6 miles NW of New Bern, first band 1 county S of me. Put the top on the Jeep. It's calm, humid, and about the perfect temp outside - mid 70's. The scent of chocolate chip cookies is in the air.

Light rain and some wind. All the kiddies are out of school today.
They are closing Snow's Cut Bridge @ 8pm tonight. There has been rumors they are not going to reopen until Thurs. morning. Officials have called for Voluntary Evac. to get the tourists out of town and they are opening shelters around Wilmington.

All the new transplants are freaking! I've seen Nor'easter blow harder and my girlfr..... Wow what a non-hurricane. Florida and the Gulf get all the action.

In Charleston here the winds are definitely picking up, i say about 30-35 mph winds slightly higher gusts.... I did have some rain last night and more is expected today as the storm passes off my coast. It is going to be rough travelling over the bridges today here :-/.. I'll keep ya'll updated as the situation warrants.

Finally getting some moderate rain (the first in weeks). A small band is passing through - very far from the main shield. Winds fairly light - 10 from the east.

Surfside Beach area : Really getting some wind driven rain at this time. Must be a pretty heavy band swinging through. Clouds in the sky are traveling at a good clip.

Calm, with take-your-breath-away mugginess. Just had a heavy rainstorm come through an hour or so ago (in Greenville).
