Can someone please tell me.......
how far inland folks are now getting rain from Ophelia? We have family in Pittsboro, N.C., who said they've been a drought for many, many weeks. Don't want them to get too much of Ophelia, but they could sure use some rain! Thanks.

I live in Hertford Co., we had several tropical downpours in our area as well as portions of Southside VA, mainly diurnally driven convection circulating around "Ophie". It is not raining now, but we had an absolutely gorgeous sunset, like we had before Isabel. Low topped dark clouds flying around east to west, and cirrus blowoff from Ophie producing a fiery red and purple sunset. We desperately need the rain, and I hope she tracks close enough that we get a couple of inches.
