I disagree with JB, this system will NOT be in the GOM by Monday, it is barely moving. This alone can have some major implications as to where this ends up in the Gulf and even where it strikes in Florida.

Seriously. This can't be in the GOM by Monday. He's crazy if he thinks that. He does realize its Saturday doesn't he? Thats 48 hours from now.

There is no evidence to say the Northern Gulf is of little threat. The current threat is equal for the entire Gulf. I have to disagree with his statement there.

The thing is, as he showed on Fox News several times last week, the Accuwx hurricane forecast for the remainder of hurricane season showed the Nothern Gulf, where Cindy, Dennis, Katrina and others all hit, as the area of least threat now, with the greatest threat being the outer banks of NC.

So, for their forecast and predictions to verify, they would have to say the Northern Gulf is of little threat. Likely trying to make their forecast look better for as long as they can. Whether it ends up being a threat or not, no one really knows and we won't for many more days.

Intrestingly enough, Accuweather and JB accused NHC/TPC of doing the same thing they appear to be doing. Not surprising...

*rant mode off*

Column is actually dated from Friday, but yes that it too early IMO too.
