I am in as much shock about this potentially disasterous situation developing as anyone else. I know we are five days out and models will change (in my opinion not for the good). We have got to start taking action sooner than later. I looked for a hotel room around Pensacola for last weekend and nothing from here to there. . I know everyone from New Orleans wants to go home but now is not the time. Stay where you are. Once Rita enters the Gulf we have three days before potential impact. That is not enough time as we all know. The stores that are open do not have full stock as of yet and very low on emergency supplies. If you are out or low on anything go ASAP and get what you need. Let us hope something amazing happens to this storm and it fizzles, changes course, etc. I say again this is potentially catastrophic to the LA and MS coast if she nears here. Do not wait around to see what happens. There will be mass panic once this enters the Gulf and national news starts hyping it up. There is a long way to go to find hotel rooms available. Book them now if you can.
