Remember....

For residents of Lafourche Parish to Cameron Parish: We are all forgeting several things:

1. This storm should hit to our west. Totally different from Katrina. With a storm to our west, moving north and NNE after landfall, it COULD produce S and SE winds for 2-4 days piling up water on the coastal areas.

2. Far NE side of the Storm. Will produce more rain than Katrina. Anyone living in SW LA. needs to monitor Rita closely. A TX/LA. border strike could be devastasting to SW LA. I would begin thinking of evacuation by Wed. AM. Lets not repeat the same mistakes made in SE LA.
