Hard to believe...

#1 Postby hurricanefreak1988 » Wed Sep 21, 2005 11:18 pm

After Katrina did her thing, we were putting her right up there with Andrew and Camille. We said another hurricane like her wouldn't come around for years and years, if at all. Well, not only will we not have to wait years and years, we'll have only waited ONE MONTH! It's incredible when you think about it. If Rita is as bad as expected, that would mean two of the worst natural disasters in U.S. history would be separated by only a month! Just unbelievable. If there was any doubt before, there's none now- this is the greatest season of all time. Even if by some wacky chance we didn't get to Alpha (not likely), this still has to be considered the greatest ever. People will be talking about the 2005 hurricane season for decades to come, but we can say that we were here to watch it all unfold.

Don't worry the season's not over , maby more 5's to come. I'm sure there is a few other major cities mother nature has yet to completly pulverize. Plus never know , 2006 could be even more fun then 2005.

For some reason I think 2006 will be even worse than this year if that is possible. First we have to get through this season. I for one am ready for it to end.

I'm getting really leery about this new *gulp* 20 year cycle of more
ferocious tropical storms. I would like to see a comparison of this starting cycle and the beginning of the last intense cycle. Feel like we are entering uncharted waters, friends.
