Tornado Threat

#1 Postby Tigerfan » Fri Sep 23, 2005 1:07 pm

The main thing I worry about here in Gonzales, LA is tornadoes. We have already had several warnings mostly radar hooks. I heard on the weather channel by Dr. Forbes that daytime heating helps the threat increase. Should we have fewer at night and when should the threat begin to diminish for this area. Thanks for the help.

They just reported on the news that we could see F2 and F3 tornadoes even up in the Jasper and Tyler area? That strong? And Neil Franks said F0 or F1 likely and something like if it destroys your house, you're not going to care what number it is.
That's a little scary

The tornados are definitely one of the WORST side-effects of a hurricane. You can't hear them coming with the wind blowing like it is, and if it's nighttime, you can't see them either.

brrrr... That's the part I'm dreading most.

Plus the tornadoes can be triggered even if you're not anywhere near the eye... :-(

Will the Dallas Area eventually see some tornadoes from Rita?
