Small, Spinning Area of Convection Near Belize - Opinions?

#1 Postby MiamiensisWx » Wed Sep 28, 2005 11:13 am

There is a small area of convection near Belize that, when viewed on a floater, appears to be rotating. It has less convection and is smaller (limited) but appears to be better organized than INVEST.99L. I know it probably won't develop (too close to land), but anyone else notice that?

Here it is! See it in the far left corner of the screen, near or on the coast of Belize near the Yucatan Peninsula? It is small.

Hurry and try to view it... it may be gone soon!

If it had more time before making landfall and was a little further from land, it might have more easily developed since it is apparently in an environment with less shear and fairly warm waters. Any thoughts?

Here it is on a floater (infra-red)... notice the rotation? It is a slight rotation.
