Look out for a Giant Tent....

#1 Postby TheShrimper » Sat Oct 22, 2005 6:14 am

As of last night, the Octoberfest in Cape Coral, was still slated for this weekend and next. They have the largest tent set up I have ever seen and it has a bulls eye on it for easterly winds. They have not taken it down as of yet. For 20 years, I have thought of this happening, and now it is a real possibility. So watch out Western Lee County, Sanibel and Pine Island.

I saw a rather large tent go flying in a tornado once. It was pretty acrobatic. I tried to catch a ride but it was a wily little booger.

People of South Florida, if Tuesday morning you wake up and find a giant tent in your backyard, now you know where it belongs!

Hopefully the extra surprise of finding a smiling German-American with ein bier und der sauerbraten won't be with the tent.

Maybe Wilma wants to go to the Oktoberfest after coming from her Cancun "vacation" After all, her name (Wilma) is short for Wilhelmina -- and that's of German origin.
