What if...

#1 Postby Ivanhater » Thu Oct 27, 2005 11:57 am

the season continued past the "cut off" date into december, like what has happened in the past few years, and started early next season like the one we had in april i believe.....wouldnt be much of a break  any thoughts if this might happen this time?

Hush you, the Atlantic Ocean might hear what you are saying. :grrr:

In all seriousness though, its really hard to tell. I don't doubt that we have a fair probability of seeing a storm in December....but after that, it gets really difficult, just monitor SSTAs and watch extratropical cutoff lows, but I wouldn't give your hopes up. ;)

Yes, enough is enough! I need some days (or weeks) without any storms around the world...

Well, I keep hearing people saying not to declare the season over until November 30th. I'll be watching till December 15th or so.

Well, I need no more storms, I need some holidays, but I won't ever declare season closed before November 30th. IMO we may see one (or more?) december storms this year.

Yea...what if conditions in the Atlantic Basin still support cyclones into January? ....while, at the same time, we're having a record cold winter! With this season, I'm not counting anything out.

If the season goes into January, we'd start with next year's list.

Yep, we'd get a head start so that the storm we have in April will be the 'B' or 'C' storm . . .
