Hi guys...I'm back after a few days without power.
I'm still digging through threads, but does anyone know how high the sustained winds were for Coral Springs (Fort Lauderdale)?
Also - how high were our gusts?
Our locked shutters flew open three different times. I'm not very happy about that.

If I had to make an uneducated guess, I'd say I was in strong cat 2. Some of the damage is rather amazing around here and in other neighborhoods. I guess a cat 3 is when you see structural damage (there is roof damage and some window damage around here and of course, screened porches/pool enclosures took it badly) but no destroyed houses, thank God.
We were lucky.
I'm in the northern part of Broward. This time, it was not the best place to be.
Ah well. House is fine, cars are fine, trees....well, two out of three isn't bad.

If this was a 2, I don't want to think about what Andrew was like in Homestead in 1992. Up here, it was merely annoying.
