The shear is shooting the convection immediately well off to the north as soon as it forms, its not forming/persisting over the center, thus its not organizing in any way. If the shear keeps up, as looks likely, Gamma will be no more in a day or so.

She is looking much better tonight.
On the contrary...looking worse IMO. The center is very displaced.

I think she will organize soon. Here's another view --

No way with this shear, and the shear is not forecast to go away.

thanks... then i think thats it for the 2005 hurricane season cause after this cold front comes down it will clean house in the atlantic. i feel 2006 will very bad for the eastcoast! so people thinking about building homes near the coastline need to rethink there plans just to be on the save side.

All right then. We'll see who's right. You are the only one thinking it will organize, even boca_chris admits it now, so you know its looking bad then...

Well, Memphis, I'm not saying I think she will become a 'Cane, but more likely a strong TS before she fizzles. She is drifting N at this time. There may be a surprise or two before this season ends.

It would indeed be a big surprise if it organizes even into a strong TS given this shear...
