Latest first snow on record!

FINALLY......SNOW!! At least
I THINK it's snow

Not much mind you but non
the less SNOW! According to
the NWS in Flagstaff, this
is the LATEST first snow
on record!

Phoenix on the other hand
did NOT receive ANY rain
and they're heading for the
longest dry streak EVER...tomorrow
makes 90 days without
moisture! 2002 was the driest
year in "500 years" and this winter
of 2005-2006 is DRIER than 2002!!

We got a dusting of snow overnight here as well as a band of snowshowers came through with the front..

You got that right, Dennis! No rain in Phoenix at all. Some say they had some sprinkles...but not even any pockmarks on the dusty patio table, so nothing, but nothing here!

You are also right...the last measurable rain was .85" on October 17-18th...and even THAT followed .02" as a total for September.

So indeed it is dusty dry here so far.

I figure the Phoenix FBR Open golf tourney is the next best shot on Super Bowl weekend. Seems to rain or snow on that huge gallery at least one or two days out of the weekend!!!

Here's a photo of the only clouds to wander by on Sunday morning when rain was predicted. The darkest bank of clouds are above the peak in the near distance which, by the way, is looking northeastward toward Pinetop!!!
